There are a lot like me who keep trying harder to achieve their goals in particular filelds just to see the glory of success once. However after somtime we feel --was it worth enough trying?I have lost many times in those unsung battles and was also disheartned at some point of time.
However the answer to this question is--yes,its always worth trying harder, beacuse we are walking miles ahead of someone.Read the poem and find who they are!!!!
Is it the win that matters?
They told me however,
Being in the run-
Was winning itself!
I heard their words again.
I could not feel them though.
And then I asked myself,
“Is it the win that matters?”
No, you were better than others,
Who never leaped the fence!
But then I couldn’t touch,
The golden flesh myself.
Nobody had expectations from them.
But I was the one,
To tear them (expectations) apart.
They were neither sad nor happy,
I was the one,
Who had tears rolling down
And they left me alone.
Alone I was.
And then my soul asked,
“Are you a winner?”
It wrecked my brains.
Hours, days and nights,
Were restless alike!
It dawned upon me then.
Those who were behind the fence,
Would have to walk miles someday.
I am at least,
Miles ahead of them.
They would cheer for me one day.
Though I am not sure,
If they would ever realize-
How pricking it was,
To walk miles ahead of them.
